Punta Cana is often sold as the paradise of eternal rest: the hammock, the coconut or the piña colada and the all-inclusive bracelet. And that's fine for day 1 or day 2 of your trip. But we're talking about December 31. The last day of the year is not made for napping; it's made to be lived to the fullest.

While thousands of tourists will be fighting for a square meter of sand on the crowded beach of their hotel, you have a different opportunity. You have the option to change the passive routine for a plan loaded with gasoline, water and pure adrenaline.

This New Year's Eve, we propose a challenge: don't wait for the grapes to start celebrating. Come to Caribbean Lake Park and say goodbye to 2025 flying, accelerating and skidding over the water.

Why choose an «Action Plan» for the 31st?

The concept of vacation is changing. We are no longer satisfied with «being»; we want to «do». And there is no better metaphor for closing a cycle and starting a new one than overcoming a physical challenge or feeling an adrenaline rush.

Caribbean Lake Park, strategically located in the Bávaro area, has established itself as the most complete center for water sports and extreme experiences in the region. It is not just a park; it is a circuit designed to release all the accumulated stress of the year in a matter of seconds.

Here are the 3 «star» activities that will turn your last day of the year into a legendary anecdote.

Aqua Karts: The jewel in the crown

Adrenaline level: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ideal for: Piques between friends and competitive couples.

It is very likely that you have never tried this, because Caribbean Lake Park has the first Aqua Karts circuit in the Eastern Caribbean. Forget about slow boats or pedals. We're talking about vehicles designed for speed and controlled skidding on the surface of the water.

The feeling is a mix between driving a racing Go-Kart and piloting a speedboat. You have the steering wheel, you have the throttle, but the ground moves with you. It is the perfect activity to organize the last race of the year with your group: whoever loses, pays for the first round of drinks at the New Year's Eve dinner.

Flyboard: End the year at high altitudes

Adrenaline Level: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ideal for: The brave who are looking for «The Picture» of the trip.

If you've ever dreamed of having Iron Man's thrusters, Flyboarding is the closest you'll get. This activity uses pressurized water propulsion to lift you several meters above the lake.

Don't be intimidated if you've never done it before. The park's instructors are experts in guiding you to find your balance in just a few minutes. The sensation of soaring over the water, with the Caribbean sun in the background, is indescribable. Imagine the Instagram story: you, levitating above the lake, with the caption «Seeing 2026 coming from above.» It's the epic close your year deserves.

Jet Skis: Pure and simple speed

Adrenaline level: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ideal for: Motor and freedom lovers.

A classic that never fails, but taken to the next professional level. Unlike renting a bike at the beach (where you often have zone limits or lots of sunbathers nearby), here you have a controlled environment designed to enjoy the machine.

Accelerating at full throttle, feeling the wind in your face and maneuvering with total freedom is one of the best disconnection therapies there is. It's your «Power» moment: you, the machine and the water.

Bonus Track: The «Donut» and the Zip Line

If you are in a big group and want to laugh until your stomach hurts, you can't leave without trying the Donut Ride. Being towed at full speed while trying (futilely) not to fall into the water is one of the most fun experiences in the park. You can also jump on the Zip Line to fly across the lake and fall into the water with a refreshing splash.

The «Après-Ski»Caribbean: Pool Club & Lounge

After so much action, your body will ask for a break. And this is where Caribbean Lake Park proves why it's a complete plan.

You don't need to go anywhere else to relax. The grounds feature a spectacular Pool Club, with a three-level infinity pool offering panoramic views of the entire lake.

• Ambience: Chill out / lounge music that gets louder and louder as the evening falls.

• Gastronomy: If you get hungry after the sport, you have delicious options right there (from artisanal pizzas to fresh sushi).

• The Sunset: Watching the last sunset of 2025 from the pool, with a cocktail in hand and the satisfaction of having spent an incredible day, is priceless.

Practical Guide for your visit on December 31

To make your experience perfect, keep these tips in mind:

  1. Location: The park is in Downtown Punta Cana (right behind Coco Bongo). It is very easy to get there by Uber or cab from any hotel in Bavaro or Cap Cana.

  2. What to bring: Swimsuit, sunscreen (the Caribbean sun is unforgiving), towel and dry clothes to change afterwards. The park has changing rooms and lockers.

  3. Reservations: December 31 is a peak date. Although the park is large, spaces for specific activities such as Flyboard or Aqua Karts are limited per hour. Booking online is vital to avoid being left out.

Ready for action? Don't let 2025 go away in silence and boredom. Make it roar. Gather your team, choose your activity and come experience the best day of your vacation.
